JCQ - LAN client/server instant messenger tool

Introduction :

JCQ a very simple instant messenger for Local Area networks (LAN).
JCQ is written in C++, is using GTK and can be run with linux, windows (and probably MacOSX, FreeBSD...).

FAQ :

- How do I install it ?
Using JCQ is very simple. You run the server application on any computer on the LAN (linux, windows, whatever...).
Configuring the client is awfully more complex : you enter your nickname, the server IP address... and that's all..
- How does it work ?
The server will notify the clients every time someone is connecting or disconnecting, so you have on your list every connected client.
To send a message to someone, double click on his name, type your message, and that's all...
- Is is secure ? Waterproof ?
JCQ is a fast developped application... so many improvements have to be done to make this application secure.
You should then use this application on a secured LAN, with friendly users.
